We are so delighted to share that The Sharan Project was announced as a winner at the inaugural
British Asian Women Awards that took place in Birmingham in June 2024.
Picking up the award for Best Support Group of the Year, Polly Harrar, Sharan Project’s Chief Executive, said “I am truly humbled to be in a room with so many inspiring women and supportive men. The work we do is a vital lifeline for South Asian women and none of this would be possible without our wonderful team, supporters and partners“.
There were powerful closing remarks from the Woman Of The Year winner, Chief Prosecutor at CPS, Jaswant Narwal on the need to secure sustainable funding for South Asian services. We were delighted to see so many of our sector partners, campaigners and supporters, highlighting why sustainability of South Asian women services are so needed.
