Our Girl

Our Girl is a National Forced Marriage Prevention and Awareness campaign.

Harnessing Change recruits a select number of well established public figures and distinguished leaders from across the media, entertainment, business, as well as the public and third sectors to advocate for consent in marriage, support debates on forced marriages and related issues and strengthen key messages against the harmful practices.

Right2Choose

This campaign is now delivered into the Our Girl campaign.

We launched the Right2Choose campaign to work with universities and deliver student workshops and staff training to help spot the signs of forced marriage and how to prevent it.

Friend of Sharan

The ‘Friend of Sharan’ campaign works towards developing partnerships with other professionals and organisations towards creating a ‘bank’ of friend’s though mutual support.

Stakeholder Engagement

We work with a number of law firms to hold events and panel discussions to identify challenges faced by defence and prosecution services on issues such as forced marriage, disownment and violence against women.

Holloway Prison and Interfaiths Network

Previously, Sharan was involved in a 6 week programme working with the Women’s Interfaith Network (WIN) and the chaplaincy at HMP Holloway Prison.
